A theater of wonder and surprise emerges at Shinsaibashi PARCO.
We are pleased to announce the opening of MEDICOM TOY WEST, our new directly managed store,
on the B1 floor of Shinsaibashi PARCO on April 11th, 2026 (Sat).
Following the conclusion of “2G OSAKA,” the “studio” that operated
on the second floor of the building for approximately five years, MEDICOM TOY WEST
—an evolved successor to its provocative legacy—will surface
on the B1 floor as a new “theater of frenzy.”
The name “WEST” signifies not only its role as a western hub, but also harbors
the store’s underlying concept: “Wonder Entertainment Surprise Theater”
—an entertainment theater charged with uncanny surprises.
True to this concept, the store unfolds as a space that slips beyond the boundaries
of the everyday, where unexpected encounters with products stir a deeper,
almost instinctive curiosity within its visitors.
Complementing MEDICOM TOY NEXT at Shibuya PARCO—and at times moving in sync with
it—this store exists on a different plane, emerging as a strange and elusive presence,
developing in a circus-like, unpredictable manner.
We also invite you to look forward to the story woven
by the two original characters: the General Manager of this theater,
“ANDY JOKER,” and the Shadow Manager, “TONY JOKER.”

While sharing the same design language as MEDICOM TOY NEXT at Shibuya PARCO,
the logo expresses the store’s concept—“Wonder Entertainment Surprise Theater”
—by layering the initial “W” with a borderline motif, suggesting a presence
that exists on a different plane from the everyday.
ANDY JOKER
General Manager, MEDICOM TOY WEST
Born into a British circus troupe in the 1920s, Andy Joker lost his mother at the age of
two when she mysteriously disappeared. From that moment on, his physical growth came to a halt,
while only his mind continued to mature.
A prodigious ball balancer, he rose to fame as a circus star. However, haunted by longing
for his mother and the jeers of the crowd, he developed deep emotional scars—eventually
injuring his own ears and losing his smile.
After the war, he went on to build one of the largest circuses in Asia in Japan. Yet,
he came to realize that his very existence was entangled in a time paradox.
Guided by fate, and in pursuit of the shadow of his lost mother, he eventually
arrives at MEDICOM TOY WEST.
As the General Manager of the theater, he warmly welcomes every guest who steps inside.
TONY JOKER
Shadow Manager, MEDICOM TOY WEST
Tony Joker is the “other self” born from Andy’s defensive instinct when he reached
the limits of his sanity on stage.
Dwelling within mirrors, he gazes upon reality with a sullen, sorrowful
expression—ever watchful, ever present.
His true nature is that of a strict counterpart, guiding Andy with a single creed:
“Do not grow cunning—become the clown.”
Possessing the strength to return Andy to the stage from the depths of despair,
Tony yields the spotlight to him, while quietly governing all from the depths of the theater, maintaining its fragile equilibrium.
He is also known for his ability to read the fortunes of those who visit.
